I just think of stupid things.
That's what most of us think about our thoughts:
- They totally make sense to us.
- They're the outcome of a deductive process.
- They're just common sense to us.
- They're logical.
- They're easy.
You know what? Your thoughts and knowledge are not easy for me. AT ALL!
Everything we know is easy for us. Therefore, we think it's also easy for others.
That's what Henry Ford could have thought about building cars.
Or what Einstein probably thought about his Theory of Relativity.
I can imagine myself talking to Einstein:
Hi, Albert, buddy, how are you doing?
Great, Paco, I'm thinking about the theory of relativity.
Wow, how is that?
It's pretty easy. Just think about this mass-energy relation: E = mc2
Oh, I see…
Obviously, I had no clue about Albert's "easy thought".
We don't need to be Einstein
Do not think that this reasoning is only valid for complex thoughts like physics, mathematics, or philosophy.
It's valid for our own "simple" thoughts.
- As our brains can easily connect certain concepts, we do think others can do exactly the same.
- As we have decades of experience doing something every day, we think it should be easy for the rest.
Don't think what you think is stupid. Don't underestimate your knowledge. You would be failing yourself if you do so.
I will give you an example of myself.
I'm not a handyman at all.
I even threw away my toolbox in the trash once I got angry because I couldn't hang a picture on the wall.
Maybe you're a handyman who thinks building things are pretty easy, and your knowledge is a "stupid" one.
We're all different, and we all have strengths and weaknesses. That's what we are as human beings.
Do an experiment
Just explain to someone something you know. See what the feedback is.
You'll be surprised to see what you have just explained is even considered as "deep knowledge".
What the heck!!!!
Something I do without almost thinking is something named "deep knowledge"?
That's what reality is. Something much more different than the thoughts we have, consider, or share.
Share your knowledge
Now it's time to share knowledge.
Don't panic! Let's do it. Let's see if we can grow together.
What happens if something is stupid for you but is rocket science for me and vice versa?
Formerly, knowledge was considered a mystery, an asset you have to take care of and never share.
Now, things have totally changed.
- Sharing is the new fashion.
- The latest concept to grow everybody and ourselves.
- It's how we find sense in our lives, how we get that fulfillment that drives us to happiness.
Please, do not hesitate to share anything at all.
- Nobody will mess with you.
- If they don’t like it, they just won't pay you attention.
- But I'm pretty sure that most of the time, everybody will be surprised, pleased, grateful, and happy because you did it.
Don't think you have to teach your knowledge to gurus, people who know a lot about your topic.
There are a lot of people out there who are waiting for it.
People who are not gurus, who are at their early stages talking about your knowledge, and deserve your help.
There's nothing better than feeling you're helping others to become better, to grow.
- They will appreciate it.
- Their lives will improve.
- They will be able to give more added value to some other people (maybe that's you... because you're not a guru in lots of topics... and you know it!).
”Anything that you've spent an above average time learning about can be translated into information that is going to be valuable to the average person."
- Steph Smith.
Takeaways
In 2002 I created my first company.
It was a stewardess agency.
I could have thought it was a "stupid" thought. A "stupid" dream which will drive me nowhere.
Today it has become a holding of 3 companies managing 7 figures each year.
Everything in life usually begins with a "stupid" thought or step. Even the most important ones.
