IMPORTANT ADVICE: there aren’t any affiliate marketing links, and I don’t receive anything at all from companies or people I mention in this article.
Knowledge is essential in life.
It has always been.
Knowledge and information have ruled the world since its creation.
Where knowledge is, evolution appears.
The Royal Library of Ashurbanipal; Plato’s Academy, dedicated to the goddess Athena, associated with wisdom; Florence, in the Renaissance… All of them have been knowledge nuclei.
Today we have all the knowledge we may need on the Internet.
It’s great to find anything you want, from diets to entertainment, culture, languages, and so forth.
But, for me, this goes one step beyond.
From my perspective, you really grow when you share your knowledge with others. It’s by talking, thinking together, sharing feelings, opinions, emotions, hacks, tips, in-depth knowledge how you really evolve.
Today, we can find that in millions of online communities, full of people with your same interests, concerns, worries.
People who may share a similar way of life than yours, or a totally different one. The thing is: there’s always a meeting point in which everyone can enjoy, have fun, learn, grown, and share unforgettable moments.
And life is based on that, a massive amount of unforgettable moments.
I consider that by belonging to these communities, you can connect with people all over the world. This wasn’t something easy to do before the Internet era. We have to take advantage of it!
Here I will share 6 communities I belong to because, as you know, I will never share something I haven’t tested by myself before. It’s the only way to know that, at least, it works for me.
Let’s dive in!
YEAR ZERO by August Bradley
Recently I completely changed my productivity framework, talking about my software infrastructure, moving to August’s Notion and PPV system.
It’s been a life-changing movement, and I can only say that my productivity has grown exponentially since then.
August’s system is terrific, Notion is fantastic, PPV is impressive, and, of course, his community is amazing.
If you really want to get into a system that will revolutionize your life, full of productivity geeks, this is your place.
MEDIUM BAD-ASSERY by Todd Brison and Tim Denning
A lot of us love writing. We want to write. We want to succeed in it.
We love Medium. That’s why we’re here.
Do you want to learn a lot about this platform? Do you really want to know how to perform better in it? Do you want to know how it works?
Whenever you join Todd and Tim’s course, you join their community, full of avid writers who want to share their knowledge, learn, and improve.
It is a unique and enriching experience to share thoughts, experiences, and learning of Medium with all these “writing fanatics”.
HEAVY MENTAL TRAINING PROGRAM by Coach Tony
This program is a group coaching experience, personally coached by Coach Tony.
It’s a way to learn a lot about mindset, how to control your mind, your emotions, to improve your performance, to know yourself better.
What I love about Tony is his pragmatism. He only works on useful things that you can take advantage of in your daily life. Just as I do.
Don’t get wrong. I’m not talking about several tips. I’m talking about techniques that have been deeply tested by scientists, neuroscientists, high-level coaches…
All that knowledge is at your complete service.
In this community, you can meet fascinating people. People who want to improve their lives, to evolve, to perform better, to grow.
If you want to navigate deep into your mind, this is your community.
THE SOUNDING BOARD by Darius Foroux
Darius is one of those people with whom I felt identified from the first moment.
We share many points in common about life, philosophy, business, and so forth.
He created this community “for people who love to learn and create”.
If you want to share your thoughts with interesting people, this is the place.
Now it’s closed for new members because Darius changed his policy.
Now, this community is only available for people who register for any of Darius’ online courses.
By the way, if you want to create an online business, I do recommend his “Digital Business School”.
The course and belonging to the community is priceless.
LIFELONG LEARNING by Bogdan Marincu, MD
Bogdan is a great guy focused on productivity, philosophy, health, parenting, and personal finance.
Inside his community, you can have access to heavy learner members who are attracted by these topics.
Due to his recent launch, it can be a perfect starting point to grow within the community.
FARNAN STREET (FS)
I started listening to this FS’ podcast because Bogdan Marincu recommended it to me. As you see, belonging to many online communities generates hundreds of “crossed-knowledge” scenarios.
This podcast is based on interviewing fascinating people. I get hooked on it!
I joined this community that “helps you master the best of what other people have already figured out”.
When you join the community, you receive even more services, such as an awesome newsletter full of timeless insights from a wide range of disciplines.
All the community members shared their passion for living a meaningful life, doing good, and avoiding problems before they happen.
I can tell you the amount of useful information you can find out there is AWESOME.
CONCLUSIONS
Belonging to these communities has made me possible to change my view of the world completely.
You literally feel that you are a citizen of the world. No borders, no limits. You have everything you may need.
I’m talking to people all over the world on a daily basis.
I share knowledge about topics I’m passionate about, and also all the community mates!
Sharing passions is a way of living.
You can learn a lot from others. You can teach a lot to others. Sharing is key to a life of fulfillment. Doing that is how you feel great, you evolve, you become a better version of yourself.
For me, it’s an outstanding (and, very important too, affordable) experience that changed my life.
It’s not an expense, it’s an investment in the most crucial thing of your life: YOURSELF.
